About Me
SUBJECTS
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I am a student-centered instructor. I believe each student is capable of great learning, and I greatly enjoy helping students reach their goals! I believe the key to a solid education is to be knowledgeable in a number of subjects.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I was educated widely in the liberal arts at Roanoke College, finishing with a major in theology. I then went on to the University of St. Andrews to complete a Master of Letters in divinity and King’s College London to complete a Ph.D. in comparative religion. I currently work as a researcher in education at Purdue University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have experience teaching ethics, world religions, healthcare ethics, and critical thinking. I’m experienced in face-to-face, videoconferencing, and online teaching.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I greatly enjoy cooking and writing in my spare time. I’m currently writing a number of articles and a revised version of my dissertation (I hope to turn it into a book). I also enjoy traveling, reading, and playing with my two misbehaved cats!
