About Me
SUBJECTS
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that the best way to learn a subject is to take the extra initial effort to fully understand the fundamental concepts being examined. Once you understand the fundamentals, learning the rest becomes much more natural. If asking for help is what it takes to learn and understand the fundamentals, then I think no one should fear asking for help.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I completed my first bachelors degree at Carleton University in Canada, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Integrated Sciences with a focus in physics. My second degree is from the University of Ottawa, in Canada, and is a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a specialization in Human Kinetics.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been tutoring first and second year math and physics to students since 2008. I am incredibly patient and pride myself in being able to succinctly explain most subject material.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Aside from tutoring, I spend much of my extracurricular time drawing or painting. I take care of a disabled dog, and so I spend lots of time bringing him out to the dog park to exercise. Exercising is another activity I like to do at least 3 times per week.
