I believe in a hands-on, minds-on approach to education. The content needs to be relevant so that the students have an invested interest in what they are learning. I have high expectations and challenge each student to reach my expectations. Making a connection with my students on a personal level is key to my success as a teacher.

I attended Towson University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education. Later, I received my Master’s Degree in Education for K-8 science. I have a teaching certificate in both elementary education and middle school science.

I have taught middle school science (grades 5-8) for four years. I also taught fourth grade for one year. Science is my passion, but I also enjoy teaching elementary math, reading, and writing.

I enjoy reading in my free time and spending time with my dog and husband at the beach. I also test my knowledge at trivia night every week, where my husband and I play against large groups and can hold our own!
