EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Being a strong believer in life-long learning, I have many times identified learning opportunities outside the classroom for both myself and my students. The application of these extensions of the learning experience have often served to validate the need to develop a deeper understanding of various concepts in a practical sense and lead to stronger student buy-in on subject matter. This holistic approach to education is one that I deeply believe in.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education focusing on Math, Physics and Dramatic Arts in 2003 at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. I then became certified by the Ontario College of Teachers in 2009 to teach Intermediate and Senior Division Mathematics, Intermediate and Senior Division Physics and Intermediate Divison Dramatic Arts. I also have additional qualifications for Special Education, Part 1 and Part 2. I am also fluent in both English and Portuguese.
