As an educator, the foundational framework of my teaching philosophy is based upon a student centered, constructivist, and inquiry based approach to learning. I believe that differentiated instruction and assessment practices are imperative to successful learner experiences. It is essential that modern technology be embedded in current teaching practice to coincide with the ever changing society which is heavily reliant on the use of technology. One should not expect a student to learn the way a teacher teaches; but rather, a teacher should develop an individualized program plan to teach the way a student can best learn successfully. In essence, I believe that education is a right that should be afforded to every child regardless of nationality, race, gender, or socio-economic status.

I moved to Montreal Canada complete my Bachelor’s Degree at Concordia University before moving back to Alberta to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 2012.

I have experience teaching various subjects and many different grade levels. I enjoy identifying my students’ greatest area of need and working diligently with them to ensure that it is addressed.

I enjoy boxing and going to the gym to stay physically fit. I am also taking a personal trainer diploma part time through the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. I enjoy travelling, shopping, reading true crime and biographies as well as spending time with family and friends.
