EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe each child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I will help students develop their potential and assist them in the discovery of their highest potential through respect, acceptance, and by providing them the tools and strategies that make learning meaningful and relevant to their lives.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education Technology. I am a licensed teacher in the state of Florida.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have extensive ESL experience in international school settings grades K-8 and adult classes. I also have experience with alternative education classes for social studies and science at the middle school level. In addition to this, I have taught life science, earth science and physical science at the middle school level.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am a part-time freelance watercolor artist who specializes in portraits and wildlife, especially tropical animals, fish, and birds. Much of my leisure time is spent outdoors. I have a garden where I grow seasonal vegetable and experiment with cross-breeding fruit trees. Although not a jock, I swim laps and bike on a daily basis. During the evening, I play gourmet chef and like to read crime novels or watch foreign films.
