EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Learning should be an engaging experience that builds on student’s abilities and interests. There are many types of learners and as such, many different ways to teach. The key is to find what works for each individual and build from there.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from McMaster University in Applied Mathematics and Physics in 2002 and then received a Bachelor of Education from University of Western Ontario, 2007 in intermediate/senior mathematics and physics. I also have part 1 in Special Education and the Honour Specialist Mathematics additional qualification.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have over 10 years experience tutoring (in person), in math, science, physics, and chemistry. I also have 9 years experience working as a secondary teacher in Bluewater School Board. Currently, I am working part-time at Georgian College, teaching Chemistry.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy day-tripping with family and friends, often finding the usual places and things. I also enjoy hiking, biking, and just being outdoors. I also take a lot of courses in my free time, as I enjoy learning as well as teaching.
