It is with this combination that individuals can begin to make all-important connections to begin building strong bonds with others and to form connections to community. In this way, meaningful application of the subject matter knowledge and skills can be applied to real-world needs and interests.

My undergraduate B.S. degree in Elementary Education (K-8) was earned at the University of Maine in Orono. After raising my family, I returned to complete my graduate work and earned both an M.Ed. with Principal certification, as well as a CAGS in Educational Leadership. I have continued my professional development and have recently added Curriculum Administrator to my credentials.

I have taught individuals and classes at every level, from elementary students to adults. My experience has included public school teaching, middle school administration, private tutoring and tutoring in a shelter setting and in two different correctional facility settings.

I enjoy yoga, sewing, and outdoor activities like biking and kayaking. After contributing some contract design and sewing services to a local, private textile company, I had a pattern of mine published with an international company that pays me royalties on the sales of my pattern. I continue to explore and learn a variety of needlework techniques, which allows me to live and share creatively.
