EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe strongly in identifying the student’s strengths and building on those strengths to help him or her achieve. I believe by connecting new information to prior knowledge and having the student experience some success great gains can be made in the student’s learning.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development. I then received a Master’s of Education Degree in Educational, Counseling, and School Psychology. I have extensive professional development and training as Autism Specialist, student learning, ADHD, crisis intervention, and instructional strategies.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am a licensed specialist in School Psychology for over ten years working in education and special education. I also have experience with individual academic and behavioral interventions, curriculum planning, teaching strategies, and behavior intervention plans.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy reading, fitness, wellness coaching, cooking, and community service.
