As William Spady said, “All students can learn and succeed, but not on the same day, in the same way”. I believe the key to “teaching” is to inspire the students to want to learn.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Master’s Degree in Literacy. I also currently hold certifications in NY and AZ. I am NY educated in Special Education and hold a Masters in literacy. I have also completed the SEI requirements to teach in AZ.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in NY for two years. I currently am employed full time as a Special Education teacher for grades 5-8.

I enjoy reading, word/board games and spending time with my sons and dogs. Walking, biking and swimming are among our favorite activities. Additionally, we love to try new adventures together.
