EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe all children will learn in a structured, safe, and supportive environment. I engage traditional, best-practice, proven, and modern methods of transferring knowledge by connecting with the students previous experiences and providing the tools for them to reason for themselves. Collaboration is important for my students to share, persuade, elaborate on ideas, embrace tolerance, and cooperate. I am a student as well as a teacher and believe in continuing my education and working collaboratively with my peers to be the best teacher I can be.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I am currently holding a 3.9 GPA at Grand Canyon University in the Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education emphasis English program.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am currently observing and participating in several high school English classrooms in completion of my Bachelors degree. I have taught children in Sunday school.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
For extracurricular activities I stay involved with my own children and belong to their PTA and SAC committees at the public elementary school they attend. I assist in my daughter’s Girl Scouts and my son’s Boy Scouts. I enjoy boating, gardening, music, reading, social gatherings, and party planning.
