EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I have a passion for the field of education and for educating others. I want to take my knowledge and experience and provide supportive resources for students. I feel education is the key to a great and rewarding life, both personally and professionally. My goal has always been to work with and educate children. Education is key for a child to grow into a strong and healthy adolescent and continue to an adult.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education and my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Over the past ten years I have devoted my career to the field of Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. I have a passion for the field of Education and for educating other individuals.
My work experience includes many diverse roles in the field of education. I have worked in child development centers as an educator and as an administrator. I have had the pleasure to work in a classroom for the local school district which provided the opportunity to work with low income or at risk youths.
My expertise in Early Childhood Education includes working as a Council Representative for The Council of Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., I provided assessments for early childhood professionals on their knowledge of early childhood appropriate practices in order to receive their CDA credential. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work for the government in the field of early intervention and work with families with children diagnosed with developmental delays and disabilities as a Developmental Specialist.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love to travel and am a major foodie. I love to find the culinary gems in every city I travel to and love suggestions from others. I both have a passion for the career path I have chosen. I also have a love of shopping and reality TV.
