I believe as a teacher that you meet a child where he is and take him/her as far as he/she can go. I believe that each learner has a particular method by which they learn best, so do try to incorporate visual, auditory, and kinesthetic methods in my teaching.

I have a Bachelors in Education in Elementary Education and a Masters in Education in Reading Supervision. I have a permanent teaching certificate in elementary 1-8 and an endorsement in reading K-12.

I have 32 years experience as an elementary teacher in a public school in Ohio. I have taught 6th grade, 5th grade, 1st grade and remedial reading. I also have 8 years experience in early education as a preschool director and teacher.

I am active in church, co-leading a small group with my husband. I am very interested in healthy living and we grow our own vegetables, I make most of our foods and cleaning products from scratch, and I can and preserve our food. I also love to read and love to sew and crochet.
