Students must believe that you care and believe in what you are teaching, that you know what you are talking about and that they will benefit from knowing it too!

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications before going on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. I am a certified teacher in the state of Indiana.

I have been in the field of Education for almost 30 years. My most successful teaching experience was at a middle school where I taught for 13 years. I was part of a school improvement team that developed a curriculum that helped our students make significant gains toward achieving state standards in math and English.

I sponsored very active Student Councils for over 30 years. One ongoing project was called, “The Angel Tree Project” During Christmastime all students were given the opportunity to donate needed items and toys to a shelter for abused women and their children. Another ongoing activity was beautification of the school grounds -weeding, planting flowers, picking up trash, etc.
