EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Everyone learns material in a different way and understanding which approach to take is what matters the most. I firmly believe that patience and creativity in explaining the material can enhance a students learning experience.
A student truly understands the material when they are capable of explaining it in their own words, as such; I always make sure to end a tutoring session by allowing the student to summarize what they just learnt.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Masters of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Ottawa in 2013. I studied the signalling cascade involved in respiratory chemo receptors of the zebra fish. Throughout my graduate studies, I mentored numerous undergraduate students with their honors research work.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I absolutely love the outdoors, and try to be involved in as my outdoors activities as possible. In terms of sports, I enjoy running and rock climbing. I also enjoy cooking, and passing on my love of food!
