I believe that students learn best in a setting that allows dialogue. This way, they can ask questions and learn via analysis of the text. I encourage students to look for connections between all of their subjects.

I attended Cottey College for four years, majoring in English with a concentration in Women’s Writing. My liberal arts background taught me to ask questions and look for connections between all of my classes.

I tutor several students locally. I have also often helped students with writing assignments by copy-editing.

I volunteer with several local animal shelters and a local camp for young men in need. I also babysit for some family friends. I volunteer for my church as well, doing outreach and fellowship in the community.
