EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My teaching philosophy is based on one principle: that no student should be left uneducated. Having been a student myself, there have been cases where I felt that the teacher/professor could have done more to engage students so that we could have a better understanding of the subject. I strongly believe that it is the responsibility of the educator to ensure that each student leaves the course knowledgeable and confident. In order to uphold this responsibility, I plan to focus on the following three key points.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a Doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from a College of Pharmacy in Houston, Tx. I continued with Research in Prostate Cancer as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Before that I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from a Liberal Arts University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught as an Adjunct Instructor at a local University as well as a Teaching Assistant for Pharmacy Students
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband, helping children at my church. I also volunteer my time to feeding the hungry. I also participate with the back to school drive at my church.
