EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that each child deserves the best support in learning, regardless of their capabilities. There are three elements that creates a positive learning environment for students:
1. The teacher acting as a guide and facilitator rather than a superior;
2. Allowing the child’s natural curiosity to direct his/her learning without any judgement;
3. Promoting respect for all things and all people.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba, majoring in Economics and Cultural anthropology. I also have a business analyst certificate and a professional designation as a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP). Currently, I am starting my Master’s program in Supply chain management through the university of Wisconsin.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have volunteered as a ESL tutor throughout high school and my time in the university of Manitoba (4 years), which includes teaching Math ESL and the language itself.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am a professional church organist. My weekend activities are teaching the church choir on saturdays and playing the organ for church on sundays. I read music and teach music. I am also the director of Marketing for SCMA (supply chain management association) in which I promote and increase market penetration to various businesses, post secondary schools and associations.
