EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Education is essential for development and growth. People become who they are based off of the education they receive and the experience they have in school.
I believe that every child should have a positive, supportive experience in school. I strongly believe that the arts help develop the mind, heart and soul; every child deserves the chance to discover themselves through these subjects and with passionate educators.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I studied English at the University of Guelph for 4 years. After the completion of my degree, I attended Humber College to obtain my Paralegal Education diploma as the stepping stone to my P1 License.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
When I was in my 4th year of University, I volunteered at the YMCA in Guelph, assisting autistic children in the classroom.
I also volunteered at my childhood elementary school in a grade 3 classroom. I assisted the teacher as well as the students in all subject areas.
As an outside of the classroom teaching experience, I taught Water-skiing and Wake-boarding in Muskoka for 2 summers.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I workout on a regular basis at gym, and assist friends to help them reach their fitness and nutrition goals.
In the winters, I enjoy snowboarding and in the summers I spend a lot of time in Muskoka.
Currently, I also volunteer in my community; mostly recently with a designated driving program and the heart and stroke foundation.
