Alexander City District and Curriculum
Alexander City Schools has three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. This small, but educationally expansive school system is fully accredited and employs high-quality teachers. The vision of this school system is to uphold distinction at the regional, state, and national levels. This is a Title One School system; consequently they receive extra federal funding for more instructional materials in order to meet the needs of all of their populations of students.

- After the Bell - Alexander City Schools' program, After the Bell, is now accepting applications for the 2018-19 year. Open to preK-grade 8 students, it, operates from the dismissal bell until 5:30, offering homework help, computer enrichment, outdoor activities, robotics, field trips and more!
- Alexander City School App - Alexander City Schools now have an app! It gives users access to calendars, events, lunch menus, contacts, school system news and social media. This app is perfect for any student or parent.
- Recent Awards for Alexander City Schools - Alexander City Schools is the first city district in Alabama, the first in the nation, to achieve accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. This is a major accomplishment, as city wide, all schools have been accredited. In addition, this school system was honored with the award of the National Civic Star. This achievement gave recognition to the fact that all high school graduates can receive two years of free college education by attending Central Alabama Community College which offers a wide variety of two year degrees.
