Chalk Talk: Three Reasons Why Technology Is Great for Education

There are a wide variety of benefits that students derive from having a technology-rich learning environment. However, there are three advantages that stand out among the rest. First, technology allows children to expand the time and space in which they learn. Utilizing tablets, laptops, the Internet, and other popular technologies, children can learn whenever they want, whether at home, in the car, or at school. Second, the interactive nature of technology means that children can have a deeper engagement in the material. Rather than passively absorbing knowledge from their teacher, children can instead pull valuable information from their studies themselves. Lastly, technology allows children to collaborate and communicate with other learners around the world. Doing so prepares them for life and work in our highly globalized society.
