Chalk Talk: From Our Educators: The Importance of School Nurses

With all the things that can happen to students during the school day, it is nice to have someone on duty that is trained to deal with sickness or injury. A school can have hundreds of students, and a school nurse is irreplaceable. The school nurse is trained and licensed and is able to make quick and crucial decisions about a student's health. School nurses also communicate with parents about individual student's allergies or other medical needs. A school nurse gives peace of mind and is priceless!
