- Science Club - The Science Club at Placer High School has a strong tradition of participation in the Science Olympiad which is an academic competition that brings students throughout the state together. Student preparation for this event offers a range of learning opportunities.
- Environment Club - Students at Placer High School have the opportunity to increase their environmental learning through participation in the Environment Club. Throughout the year students collaborate on a variety of environmental and outreach projects.
- Future Farmer's of America - The FFA is an organization that promotes student leadership through their agricultural education. Notably, Placer High School also is in possession of an important piece of symbolic art created in honor of the FFA organization.
