Ayden District and Curriculum

The Department of Education has been successful in implementing course curricula as per international standards. This applies to courses of all subjects Thorough research has been conducted and is always going on to keep in touch with the latest trends and subsequent updates are made to revise the curricula after every few months. Special focus is given to English language arts and Math as these two courses form the foundation of all other courses in the curricula. Each curriculum consists of a detailed framework establishing the learning expectations at each grade level.

We currently cover the following Ayden-area school district: Pitt County Schools.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Beverly District Curriculum

As far as English topics are concerned, each new topic is gradually introduced so the child may become fully acknowledged with a given concept before moving onto a new one. The district starts with the basic alphabet and sounds initially and then go on to introducing three letter words and short sentences at primary level and bigger sentences and paragraphs at middle school levels. Writing becomes increasing long-form, and students learn how to write for a variety of different analytic, persuasive and creative purposes.

For Math, special attention lies on problem solving techniques. At the elementary level, the teachers mainly use building blocks and marble balls to explain basic concepts of mathematical operations. At a middle school level, they introduce sharing concepts and fractions, doing this all by real live examples of sharing and distributing to give the child a better understanding of the real world. In high school, math takes on a greater complexity with advanced problem-solving strategies taught in courses like Algebra 1, 2, and Geometry.

Chalk Talk: How to Learn a Foreign Language

Have you ever thought of learning a new language? It seems like a difficult process, but believe me, if a proper plan is laid out and effectively followed, then this is not difficult to achieve. It takes time, though to learn something new. Start off by finding an individual tutor who is proficient in the language or selecting an online language course and registering yourself on that website. Keep a particular time for taking the class on a daily or weekly basis and make sure to attend them regularly. Take notes as much as you can and also draw small pictures to represent any vocabulary words. These will be useful later on for revisions. Make sure to keep a separate register or notebook and do always open it and go through the notes of the last lesson before going to the next class. Try to read as many books in that language, starting off with the lower level books meant for beginners. Keep learning a few new words and sentences every day. Also try to converse with your tutor in the new language as often as you can so you may become eloquent in it with time.
