Battle Creek Public School District offers a wide array of programs that are geared to meeting the unique needs of all learners. From the 9th grade academy program to the outdoor education center the goal is always to provide support and to encourage learning! English, Math, Science, Social Studies and various electives offer a well-rounded liberal arts education. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves and excel.
In Math, students at the elementary levels study mathematical practices, operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, number and operations, measurement of data, and geometry at increasingly complex levels each year. In middle school, students study mathematical practices, the number system, expressions and equations, ratios and proportional relationships, and geometry. In the high school, students study number and quantity, algebra, functions, modeling, geometry, and statistics and probability.
