Keeping Informed: Recent Bay Minette Educational News

  • Bay Minette Intermediate News - Students in Bay Minette attended the local nursing home to pay an uplifting visit to the residents. The students are members of the Honor Society and the Student Council. They talked with the residents and listened to their stories of their Christmases past, and entertained them with Christmas carols. Each resident also received gift bags from the students. The residents loved their time with the children!
  • Teacher of the Year - They have a teacher of the year at Bay Minette Intermediate. Mrs. Stewart has been chosen by her coworkers to be the Teacher of the Year for 2012 and 2013. She has a master's degree from ASU (Alabama State University) and has taught at Bay Minette for 16 years! Congratulations to Mrs. Stewart for accomplishing such a high honor!
  • Studying the Sun - Sea, Sand, and Stars Nature Center was recently visited by Bay Minette Intermediate Students. They had an adventurous field trip as they learned about our outer world! They were able to experience the viewing of the sun's properties by wearing special solar viewing glasses!
