Chalk Talk: Does Your Child Need Tutoring?

If you are seeing your child experience difficulties in school, you may be considering a tutor to help them get back on track. Tutoring can help your child develop study and organizational skills and cultivate a better understanding of the material learned in school. If you notice your child developing an increasingly negative attitude toward school or making excuses to avoid school, they may require the additional supports of a tutor. Also, if they are falling behind and not grasping the material, tutoring may help give the reinforcement they need. Another reason to consider tutoring is if your student is preparing for entrance into college. Tutors can help high school students prepare for college entrance exams such as the SAT. Tutoring can be beneficial for students with various needs and abilities.
