Teaching assistants, or instructional assistants, are employees within the schools that help the regular education teachers or grade level teachers. Instructional assistants can be placed with one student throughout the day, to give that one student assistance in being successful in the regular educational curriculum, or float throughout several classrooms to aid the teachers with enforcement of difficult material or helping with clerical tasks. Teaching assistants are very valuable to the teachers and students!
