Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Concord District Curriculum

In Language Arts, the content areas covered are reading literary and non-fiction texts, the writing process, and listening and speaking. In Math, the subject is organized around numerical operations, algebraic operations, geometry and measurement, and data analysis. In the Sciences, the curriculum details the expectations within earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and engineering.

Critical and process-oriented thought, and problem solving skills are developed as the students delve deeper into their subjects each year. When students enter a small school model or enhanced learning program, the curriculum remains focused on core content but also explains how other information will be infused into the learning process.
