Creve Coeur District and Curriculum
The school districts in Creve Coeur follow a comprehensive curriculum that covers more than academics by including opportunities to learn in areas such as community outreach, civic participation, and character education. Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Creve Coeur District Curriculum
The English/Language Arts curriculum is a combination of informational and narrative texts, which both integrate social studies and science content knowledge. Students focus on informative, narrative, and argumentative writing at all grade levels. There is a strong emphasis on academic vocabulary and learning how to decode the meaning of words, as well as complex passages found in both literature and non-fiction.
The math curriculum, also based on Common Core State Standards, focuses on reasoning, problem solving, modeling, decision making, and engagement. Students are expected to be able to develop the ability to know the best method to solve any type of math problem. Students learn to appreciate how math is used in the world around them. Science instruction requires students to think like scientists, posing questions about the real world and using higher level thinking to explore how to solve societal issues.

- Ladue Middle Is National Award Recipient - Ladue Middle School has been named a 2014 National School of Character.
