Students can use Twitter in order to communicate about class assignments using a special hashtag. Teachers can also utilize Twitter to communicate with subject matter experts to provide deeper insight into the topics they are teaching. Instagram is a popular app that art students can use to share their creations. It’s also a great way for young artists to communicate with established and successful artists. There are countless apps for Android and iOS tablets that engage kids in fun reading and math games. There are also a host of language learning apps too, so your kids can spend the summer learning the basics of another language. Using social media in this manner is facilitative of a more active and engaging class.
