Educating Our Parents: Understanding the El Segundo District Curriculum

In Language Arts, develop reading strategies to increase comprehension for increasingly complex texts. Students also develop many writing habits like establishing processes for writing and understanding the different purposes we write for. Mathematics introduce students to topics in geometry and measurement, probability and statistics, and algebraic operations. Students science education spans the processes employed by scientists, specific skills and universal principles inherent to earth and environmental topics, biology and chemistry, physics and topics in engineering.

In addition, technology learning is infused throughout all subjects in the curriculum so that students are able to both use and understand how to create technical innovations. For classes that offer a specific focus or are intended to prepare students for specific goals, the curriculum describes what student will learn and how instruction will occur in the subject.
