Florham Park District and Curriculum
K-12 students in Florham Park, New Jersey attend two local school districts. The Florham Park School District is responsible for the education of students in kindergarten through the eighth grade. Students in grades 9-12 attend Hanover Park High School, which is part of the Hanover Park Regional High School District. The shared mission of the Florham Park and Hanover Park districts is to offer individualized instruction that results in academic achievement for all students. This mission is accomplished through quality instruction delivered by teachers that are supportive and knowledgeable.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Florham Park District Curriculum
Curriculum development in the Florham Park and Hanover Park districts is undertaken with the unique learning needs of students in mind. This child-centered approach means that students are offered a variety of learning opportunities that foster their curiosities, promote higher ordered cognitive skills and encourages a love of lifelong learning. All students are held to the same high standards established by the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and the Common Core State Standards.
As part of their comprehensive education, students undergo a study of technology. Students acquire an understanding of how technology impacts the world in which we live. Students analyze how technology is useful at school, at home and in work settings. Students evaluate how technology has changed over time and how these changes influence economic, social and political trends. Students explain how technology has fostered globalization and identify these global influences on American society. Lastly, students design and create their own technology product or system and explain how it can improve functioning in the 21st Century workplace.
