The Fremont City Schools is responsible for the education of public schoolchildren in Fremont. The district includes nine schools, each of which is staffed with highly qualified teachers. Fremont students are required to participate in an arts education that includes instrumental or vocal music. Students in high school music classes acquire advanced skills that allow them to identify harmonic progressions and interpret expressive symbols while performing music. Students prepare and perform a variety of music that represents diverse genres. When playing music, students do so with accuracy and articulation, with appropriate intonation and expression.
Students in Fremont also take part in a comprehensive social studies curriculum. Learners participate in studies in geography, history, government, and economics. Students acquire the historical skills necessary to analyze events in the context of a clear sense of time. Connections between past people and events are clearly made with current events and people. Students study early civilizations, from Rome and Greece to early dynasties in China. The first global age, which opened with the European exploration of the New World, is studied in depth as well.

- Fremont Schools Celebrate Homecoming - Students at Fremont Ross High School and St. Joseph Central Catholic High School recently celebrated homecoming. Both schools had numerous events throughout the week.
- Fremont Student Wins Agriculture Award - A local student recently won the Bonnie Plants Award for outstanding achievement in the field of agriculture. The student received the honor after growing an 18.6 pound cabbage.
