Fullerton District and Curriculum
Schools in the Fullerton area in Whitehall-Coplay School District provide an education that prepares its students not only for exams that they will take to show proficiency in Core subjects, but will also prepare them with the knowledge they need for life. Elementary students study Core curriculum in reading, language arts and math. They are also taught science, art, computers, music, social studies, music (both choral and instrumental), and physical education.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Fullerton District Curriculum
Middle school students build on what they have learned in elementary school. They add to their curriculum health, accelerated math options, family consumer science, Spanish, German, and a writing lab. With these additions, students are equipped to enter high school. They are also given library time and instruction on how to use the resources available and how to work with the media resources in the library.
High School students are presented with a myriad of ways to meet graduation requirements. They are offered many electives and many levels of classes including honors and AP options as well as the opportunity to advance in subjects that interest them. For example, Applied Chemistry, Honors Chemistry I and Advanced Chemistry II are all offered instead of just the typical one Chemistry class option that some high schools offer. Dual enrollment courses are also offered which allow students to receive both college and high school credits for work completed.

- Summer Camps Offered to Whitehall-Coplay Students - Students completing grades K through 8 are welcome to register for day camps throughout the summer held in local parks for a fee. Non local students may participate, however there is an added fee. Day campers will have bus options available for transportation to and from the day camp location.
- Elementary Students Participate in Project ACES: All Children Exercising Simultaneously - Elementary students participated in Project ACES, also known as the world's largest exercise class. This was to encourage everyone in the world to get moving! Way to go!
- The Middle School Raises Funds Through Market Day Sales - In order to raise funds for their year-end Children’s Day, Whitehall-Coplay Middle school is participating in Market Day, where people can buy groceries which will raise funds for the school.

Chalk Talk: Getting the Most Out of a Tutoring Session
Tutoring sessions can be very effective. But how can you make them more so? Coming prepared to your tutoring session is very important. Come with assignments, questions, class notes, and class text books so that your tutor can quickly assess where you are at and how to best help you. Remember, it is NOT your tutor’s job to do your work for you, but rather to equip you to be able to do it yourself. For this reason, they may help you with problems similar to that assigned to you, but not your actual assignment. If you’re confused, let your tutor know. You are getting tutoring for a topic that is difficult for you. Not knowing is ok. Most of all, come ready to learn, to do your best, to understand. You may find the results of your time amaze even yourself.
