In each class, students develop problem-solving and reasoning skills that support learning in fields like science, engineering and technology.

- Performing Arts at Isla Vista Elementary - The Performing Arts program at Isla Vista Elementary offers community members the chance to view the performances that students have been working on during the schoolyear. The department webpage has performances showcased for all to enjoy.
- Battle of the Books - Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program developed by the school libraries of Goleta Union School District. Throughout the year, they hold a number of events for students to participate in.
