There is also the opportunity for students to take more rigorous courses in the Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment programs. Team sports and extracurricular clubs are offered to students at the high school level as well.

Courses in Greenfield schools guide students down a path that encourages active decision-making and excellence in the workplace or in secondary education. Chalk Talk: The Importance of Art in the Schools

The benefits of art education are numerous. For younger children, art instruction can help improve motor skills and language development as they learn shapes, colors, and actions. Improvements in motivation, concentration and even self-confidence have been linked to participation in art-related activities. With these improvements, higher test scores and critical thinking skills, as well as increased independence and teamwork skills have all been noted. At all ages, creativity will be enhanced as well. The making of and consumption of art crosses all boundaries. Students from a lower socioeconomic background are afforded the opportunity to engage in the same enrichment experiences as their higher socioeconomic peers. Language is less of a barrier with art and its instruction as well. Finally, art education can develop cultural awareness and appreciation. Art instruction in the schools provides many benefits both inside and outside of the classroom.
