Chalk Talk: How to Get Enough Rest During the School Year
With so many activities piled on top of homework, added to your work load or chores you are already required to do, getting enough rest may go to the back burner in order of importance. Before you leave the pot simmering there, take another look at your schedule. Did you know that students who get enough rest are able to do markedly better in their school and extracurricular activities than those who do not? There are many reasons for this including the fact that you are able to concentrate better, have a better mood, and over-all perform better. That being said, take the time to look at your schedule again. Instead of putting off sleep, what are some other things you can do? Try prioritizing your school time. For example, instead of talking and laughing during lunch, what if you made it into a study session three days a week? Utilize travel time as well. Listen to podcasts correlating to your studies, memorize test material, or use that time in other ways to maximize your homework time.
