Keeping Informed: Recent Hamilton Educational News

  • Hackleburg Relief Fund - There is a song on iTunes by The Outfields, called A Little Piece of Luck. It can be purchased and downloaded, and all proceeds go to the Hackleburg School Relief Fund. Last April, this school was destroyed by a storm, and a new school needs to be built. This song was written for a great cause, and Hamilton-area school students and community members urge you to listen to and purchase the song.
  • Parent Resource Center - The Marion County school system, and Hamilton-area schools, has a parent resource center to assist parents with home-life advice, parenting tips, ideas on helping children with homework, great website opportunities and much more! There is also a lending library where parents can check out books, DVDs, and other informational materials.
  • Kindles for the Kids - The Junior High School students in Hamilton, AL all are very fortunate to have Kindles in the classes. They are asking for donations from parents and community members to purchase gift cards from Amazon to aid in the downloading of books and apps for the children.
