Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Hercules District Curriculum

The Language Arts framework promotes student learning in other subject areas. The development of reading and writing strategies that ensure comprehension and clear communication are taught. The framework for Math instills the fundamentals of problem-solving in areas like geometry, algebra and advanced topics like calculus and trigonometry.

The structure of the Science framework rests upon developing an understanding of the processes of scientificy inquiry and the principles found in science. These are taught through topics like environmental science, biology, physics, chemistry and technology. As students begin to encounter more complex learning challenges, this foundation will prepare them.
