Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Hesperia District Curriculum
In Language Arts, the curriculum develops understanding in reading literary and informational texts, writing and revising processes, listening, and speaking. In Math, students are taught numerical operations, algebraic operations, geometry and measurement, and statistics and probability each year. Within these subjects, students have an experience that deepens their critical-thinking, problem-solving and logical reasoning skills and learn how to express their analysis.
In Science, the curriculum covers earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, technology and environmental studies. Students engage in process-oriented, inquiry-based thinking within this subject area.

Hesperia District Curriculum Used in Our In-Home Tutoring Programs
The curriculum used in Hesperia provides a framework to organize teaching and learning in all subjects across the grade levels. These framework describe what it is that students will learn and be able to do upon completion of their coursework. Each subject is organized in major areas of content learning and those areas are supported by sub-skills that help bring about proficiency in the subject.
We currently cover the following Hesperia-area school district: Hesperia Unified School District.
Keeping Informed: Recent Hesperia Educational News
- Cypress School of the Arts - One of the Choice Schools options in the district for students in grades K-6 is the Cypress School of the Arts which focuses on ways to integrate the arts into learning. Students who show an interest in the arts are able to develop a broad base of knowledge from an early age.
- Krysal School - Another option for students in grades K-6 is a school focused on Science, Math and Technology. The development of these areas in the early years enables students to perform increasingly complex work in their later school years. This is the difference that sets many students apart and prepares them to enter top universities.
- Attendance - Because showing-up matters, the school district has gone all out to promote this point at the high school level. For students who maintain perfect attendance their names will be entered into a raffle and one very lucky student can win a new Jeep!
