Educating Our Parents: Understanding the High Point District Curriculum
The Guilford County Schools Reading curriculum consists of a stair-stepping process for students to get them from one level to the next successfully. Students learn how to decode and analyze meaning, and discuss or write about their interpretations. This process takes place throughout their school years. The students are to be fully prepared for reading on a college level by using of a variety of classics and contemporary texts.
The Reading curriculum is decided on by the school districts, teachers and state as a coming together to make sure that every student is able to read at their grade levels. The genres consist of a plethora of titles in forms of documents, writings by famous and not so famous authors, and American and world literature. Making sure that students are able to read on advanced levels is going to help them to better understand whatever they choose to read at any given time.

I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank-you! My son is very impressed with his tutor and looks forward to each session. What’s particularly amazing about this is our son has never really looked forward to math or school for that matter!
