Chalk Talk: Excelling in AP Classes

AP classes are created to be challenging but not impossible. Doing well in the classes and on the tests is an entirely realistic goal. Several tips can help high school students reach that objective. First, try not to procrastinate. If it helps, plan on giving yourself more time than you think you’ll need to finish assignments. This way, you’ll be able to work at your own speed and make sure you understand topics thoroughly. Trying new study methods can also help students excel. For example, if you’re used to studying alone, try getting together with classmates and starting a study group. Finally, if you find yourself falling behind or feeling confused about a certain topic, don’t hesitate to ask a teacher or a friend for help. They may have resources at their disposal that you hadn’t thought of using. Also, having information explained to you in a different way can sometimes shed light on complicated subjects. When it’s time to take the test, try not to worry. Focus and stay positive!
