Chalk Talk: Applying for College

Applying to college is a long-process and one that students need to be prepared for. This is the student’s opportunity to rise to the top of the pile of applications, so they need to make sure they present themselves in the best light. Whether by joining an existing club or starting one of their own, students who put time into participating in activities outside the classroom often have an edge. Students should be aware, however, that some colleges require additional steps, such as meeting with recruitment officials for interviews. With so many applicants and only so many spots that can be filled, admission officers want to know that an applicant is sincere in their desire to attend their school.
