Chalk Talk: Rolling Applications

With all the various types of college applications available, it can be difficult to decide which is best. Many have certain advantages but also certain restrictions. One of the simplest types is the Rolling application. With Rolling applications, colleges set a start and end date, usually a pretty broad range spanning from the beginning of the fall until late winter. Students are free to apply at any point during this time, and instead of the college sitting on the application until the deadline has passed, applications are read right away, with decisions coming typically within two to three weeks. The quick turnaround taken in conjunction with the lack of restrictions makes Rolling a popular application type with students.
