Inglewood District Curriculum Used in Our In-Home Tutoring Programs

The schools in Inglewood use curriculum that provide a standards-based framework for each subject. The frameworks are designed by educators and professionals and prepare students as they progress through their learning. In Math, the framework describes student learning in numeracy, geometry and measurement, algebra, and statistics and probability. In Language Arts, learning is centered around the reading of fiction and non-fiction, writing for a range of purposes and the writing process, speaking, and listening. By developing knowledge in these areas, students gain in reasoning, problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.

We currently cover the following Inglewood-area school district: Inglewood Unified School District, Los Angeles Unified School District.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Inglewood District Curriculum

The Science Curriculum provides a similar organizational framework. The areas of earth and life sciences, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and technology areas have the integral parts of learning described as objectives that propel learning. When students enter in a specialized program or a school within a school, these curricular standards remain in use and generally other subjects provide a cross-disciplinary approach to the same core knowledge.
