Keeping Informed: Recent Jurupa Valley Educational News
- Pop Tabs! - Students at the local middle school undertook one of the most impressive efforts. Students colleged over 290,000 pop tabs from the tops of soda cans all of which are donated to charities like the Ronald McDonald House. Each tab represents about 1 cent and the effort really brought together the student body.
- Sports Medicine Club - Students at one local area high school have come together and started a Sports Medicine Club. For students who are interested in professional careers in such a field, this club offers a unique first opportunity to get involved.
- Photography - One of the visual arts courses on offer at the High School level is a series of Photograph Courses. When students take photography, not only do they learn the skills to create beautiful art, but they also gain understanding of how to use the natural environment which raises awareness in a whole other area.
