Chalk Talk: The Benefit of a Mentorship Program
Having a good academic mentor can have a profound effect on a student's performance at school. A good mentor not only takes time to tutor in those subjects the student needs supplemental help, they also offer invaluable life lessons for achieving a successful career and adulthood. A mentor helps a student to understand what type of person they want to become and the steps to achieve their goals, regardless of previous connections and expectations. Mentors and mentees form a bond of understanding, and mentees will be challenged and supported in their goals.
