Chalk Talk: SAT Math
When it comes to the SAT tests, the math section can be overwhelming. With a little knowledge of how to prepare for it, a student can face it with a little more confidence. Algebra and Geometry are needed before taking this test. Then plan on taking time to prepare for the math section. One way to prepare is to complete the practice sections of one of the SAT preparation books that can be found in a library or bookstore. Make sure to find the most current edition to make sure that the problems will be more like those on the test. Each math test has three sections with most of the problems being in multiple choice format. The areas to study include computations, algebra, probability/statistics, functions and geometry. With these few guidelines, hopefully the student will be able to breathe a little easier and rest before the test.
