In Language Arts, students learn about how to read literary and informational texts, write for a range of purposes, use a writing process, and to listen and speak with critical thinking skills. Each of these subjects promote critical thinking skills like reasoning, process thinking, and analysis and interpretive thinking.
As students enter into more advanced and interdisciplinary settings, there is a curriculum guideline that explains how material and hands-on learning opportunities will be integrated into core subjects.

- Blueprint - Blueprint is the newspaper for Acalanes High School. It showcases a range of student talents and interests; it is now available online for anyone in the school community.
